How the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid Stands Out from the Competition

The 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross is one of the greatest things that happened to the compact SUV segment. It combines style, efficiency and performance in a versatile package that will cater to everyone’s needs. Plus, it features the undeniable Toyota reliability which makes it a better choice than its rivals.

This month, Toyota has unveiled the hybrid variant of this already very popular crossover. This variant will be a 2023 model and will increase efficiency without compromising the signature drive and capabilities of the Corolla Cross.

Here’s how the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross stands out from the competition.

Efficient AWD hybrid technologies under the hood of the 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid

The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross balances performance and efficiency thanks to an efficient hybrid powertrain that outputs a whopping 194 horsepower. While the 2022 Corolla Cross achieves an already impressive combined fuel consumption rating of 7.3 L/100 km in FWD configuration and 7.8 L/100 km with AWD, the new Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid will go as low as 6.4 L/100 km.

And the best part is, this new Corolla Cross is available exclusively with all-wheel drive (AWD), which makes it better than the competition during harsh Canadian winters, but also on spirited drives. Thanks to this perfect balance between power and efficiency, the Corolla Cross can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in only 8.2 seconds.

The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid is more stylish and features unique technologies

The Corolla Cross Hybrid uses the high-strength TNGA-C platform, making it nimbler and roomier for passengers and cargo when compared to the competition. Inside, it uses a whole new multimedia system with an intelligent voice-activated assistant, over-the-air updates, dual Bluetooth connectivity and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In order to keep you and your family safe at all times, the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 comes standard, too.

The lineup includes two new grades: SE and XSE. The former boasts 17-inch alloy wheels, an eight-inch touchscreen and LED lighting at both ends, while the latter gets 18-inch wheels, premium headlights, Softex-trimmed seats and more.

The 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid is more reliable

Toyota has been building hybrids for quite some time now. And while other manufacturers struggle with reliability issues, you can always count on the trusty Toyota reliability to ensure maximum value throughout the life of your Toyota Cross Hybrid.

Pricing and availability will be made public closer to launch date.
